survival mode

I reached an agreement with my partner. We would divide the night in two. Night shifts with the baby. And I would sleep in the spare bedroom for the first part of the night. Cause otherwise, if I am in the same room with our baby I wake up at the slightest movement or change in breathing.

At some point I was sleeping 4 hours a night (my partner´s shift with the baby) plus two hours a day, in two installments, when the baby slept. Good enough to go through the days. And most of the nights. Not good enough to have any quality of life. No ability to plan for the future. No way out.
